Jewellery from the past..

Jewellery from the past.

The Jewellery i found from the past is an old brooch from the 1950's. This is called " The Great 1950's green-stone brooch".
The size of this brooch is 2 1/2".
This piece of brooch was made from green-stone, supported by a bronze looking metal.

I found another Jewellery called the "Vintage Dane-craft sterling silver floral brooch. The size of this Jewellery is 2 1/4".
This brooch was made from silver metal, and it had been carved/melted to make a flower in the middle.

This Jewellery was made for a purpose. Back in the days people needed something to hold pieces of clothing together, and this is when the pins came in handy, and this was the first time pins were invented, then they started decorating the pin and slowly became a brooch.

Researching this sort of Jewellery was cool. I found it interesting because i learnt about why brooches were made and why it is useful.
